Medicare Part A includes coverage for the following services:

Inpatient Hospital Care: This coverage applies to care received after a physician formally admits you into a hospital. It includes up to 90 days of hospital stay per benefit period and 60 lifetime reserve days. Medicare covers up to 190 lifetime days in a Medicare-certified psychiatric hospital.

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Care: Medicare Part A covers accommodation, meals, and various services in a skilled nursing facility, such as medication management, wound care, and tube feedings. You can receive up to 100 days of SNF care per benefit period if eligible. Eligibility requires at least a three-day hospital inpatient stay within 30 days of admission to the SNF.

Home Health Care: In case you are homebound and need skilled care, Medicare Part A can cover upto 100 days of daily care or unlimited intermittent care sessions. Eligibility requires at least a three-day hospital inpatient stay within 14 days before receiving home health care. If you do not meet Part A criteria, you may still receive home health care under Medicare Part B.

Hospice Care: If a provider certifies you as terminally ill, you can elect to receive hospice care, which is covered as long as your provider verifies your need for this care.
